Ruger Reveals Why He Doesn’t Care if a Woman Is Unemployed

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has revealed that a woman’s financial situation is not a deciding factor when it comes to his choice of a romantic partner.

The musician made the remarks during a recent livestream with content creator Shank, where he spoke about relationships, marriage and his personal preferences.

According to Ruger, he is financially comfortable enough not to consider a woman’s income before entering a relationship.

He said he has previously dated women who were unemployed, adding that their lack of income never influenced his decision.

“A woman’s financial status doesn’t matter to me. I am rich. I have dated girls who didn’t make money before. They just sleep and wake up,” the singer said.

Speaking further, Ruger described his ideal partner as someone with a good sense of humour, saying he values a fun personality more than financial success.

The singer also disclosed that he is considering settling down in the near future.

Explaining the reason behind that decision, he said living alone has become less appealing, especially because he frequently relies on takeaway meals due to the absence of someone to cook at home.

“I keep ordering takeouts because there is no one at home to cook for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to settle down,” he said.

Ruger also revealed during the livestream that he has earned more than $2 million so far this year, highlighting what he described as a successful period in his music career.

His comments have since generated discussions online, with fans sharing differing opinions on his views about relationships, financial independence and marriage.
