THE Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) says its food outreach programme has reached 26 states, providing relief to thousands of vulnerable Nigerians.
The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu disclosed this during the symbolic distribution of food items to widows, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Dutse, Jigawa State.

A statement issued on the symbolic food distribution was made available to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday by Mrs Kwapchi-Bata Hamman, Special Assistant on Media and ICT, Office of the Vice President.
In the statement, the first lady said the RHI remained committed to ensuring no Nigerian was left behind in national development.
She said the intervention would continue to provide social safety nets for women, children and other vulnerable groups across the country.
“The Renewed Hope Initiative remains steadfast in its mission to provide a safety net for those most in need, particularly women, children and vulnerable groups,” she said.
Mrs Tinubu announced that Ondo would be the next beneficiary of the food intervention programme under the initiative.
She said the programme was established to complement President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through targeted humanitarian and social intervention programmes.
According to her, the food outreach programme is supported by the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) and an anonymous donor.
“Our goal is to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda by supporting vulnerable Nigerians through impactful social intervention programmes,” she said.
The first lady also inaugurated the Renewed Hope Initiative Green Nigeria Challenge in the state to promote environmental sustainability.
The challenge has the theme, “Go Green Today for a Greener Tomorrow.”
Mrs Tinubu said the programme encourages households, communities and state governments to embrace tree planting, environmental sanitation and green innovation.
She said the initiative, launched on Sept. 10, 2025, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Environment, aims to nurture environmentally conscious young Nigerians.
The first Lady said no fewer than 3,000 participants registered for the programme in Jigawa while students from six environmental societies and clubs participated in the inauguration.
The state Governor, Umar Namadi commended the intervention, describing it as timely and consistent with his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable residents.
Namadi said the support aligned with his administration’s development blueprint aimed at addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups across the state.
