They were very pleased that the victims are home safely after being held for almost two months.

He wrote on his X account that he is happy the pupils and teachers are home safely and he thanks everyone who helped bring them home.
The Presidency said the rescue operation was successful.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde said the rescue of the victims is a relief after they spent 57 days with the kidnappers.
The Presidency confirmed that the pupils and teachers were rescued alive when the security agencies worked together to rescue them.
The Presidents Special Adviser on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga said the security agencies caught eight kidnappers and they are being held by the Department of State Services and some other kidnappers were killed during the rescue operation.
He also said the security agencies did not give in to the kidnappers demand to release one of their leaders who’s in trouble with the law.
The rescue operation is seen as a success in the fight against kidnapping and in making the country a safer place.
