Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, played host on Thursday to the Federal Government’s YouWin Enterprise Education initiative, which included a nationwide free books distribution exercise.
The programme, designed to foster entrepreneurship awareness and skill development among undergraduates, commenced on Wednesday at the institution’s campus.
Declaring the event open, the Polytechnic’s Registrar, A.Y. Adewumi, commended the Federal Government for prioritising undergraduate skill acquisition, noting that such initiatives would secure a promising future for Nigerian students.
Adewumi reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to partnering with all tiers of government to advance education and other relevant programmes aimed at promoting self-sustenance, self-development, and self-reliance among students.
Earlier, the programme facilitator urged National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students to embrace the new entrepreneurial order to ensure healthy and fulfilled lives.
A key highlight of the occasion was the distribution of free enterprise books documenting successful entrepreneurship case studies from across the globe.
