Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said that lasting peace cannot be provided by any government, stressing that true peace is found only in God.
The renowned cleric made the remarks while addressing worshippers during a church service in Warri, Delta State, where he encouraged Christians to strengthen their faith amid life’s challenges.
According to Oyedepo, while governments have responsibilities such as maintaining security and providing governance, they cannot give the inner peace that comes through a relationship with God.
“No government in this world can give you peace, neither can you find it in the market. It is only God that can give you peace,” he said.
The bishop urged believers not to depend solely on earthly institutions for emotional or spiritual stability but to seek God’s presence in their daily lives.
He added that genuine peace of mind is a divine gift that transcends material possessions and human systems.
