At least 27 people have died following a devastating gun attack by some yet-to-be identified men in two incidents which happened in South Africa.
In one of the incidents which happened in a bar, eight gunmen, were said to have fired shots at the customers causing the death of 17 persons consisting of 13 men and four women and also injuring 15 others, causing grief scenes in tbe area.
In another early morning Sunday incident, a gang of gunmen, invaded an entertainment centre in Cape Town and killed 10 people, wounding 11 other persons.
The Police held that the the suspects searched some patrons, forcefully took their phones before fleeing the scene, adding the the motive for both shooting is still unknown and no suspect has been arrested in either case.
This crisis came days after another mass shooting in KwaMakhutha, south of Durban, where 11 people where killed at a house party on Tuesday night.
South Africa records roughly 60 murders a day,
flooded with legal and illegal firearms, grapples with persistent gun violence often linked to gang conflict and competition among informal businesses.
