“Dem sack me for SIWES, wetin I wan tell my school?” — Student cries out

A young man has gone viral on social media after claiming he was sacked from the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), leaving many Nigerians shocked and curious about what led to his exit.

SIWES is a compulsory industrial training programme designed for students in some of the Nigerian tertiary institutions.

It provides participants with practical workplace experience related to their fields of study before graduation.

The young man shared a video online with the caption: “Dem sack me for SIWES, wetin I wan tell them for my school?”

The post quickly attracted widespread attention, with many social media users expressing disbelief that a student could be dismissed from the programme.

Others speculated that his conduct may have contributed to the decision, while some criticised the SIWES system.
