Davido Questions MC Oluomo Over Alleged Role in Osun Political Crisis

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly criticised the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, amid the ongoing disagreement over the union’s activities in Osun State.

The exchange follows the Osun State Government’s decision to suspend NURTW operations ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

Governor Ademola Adeleke announced the directive as part of measures aimed at maintaining order in motor parks and ending the collection of unauthorised levies during the election period.

However, MC Oluomo rejected the directive, arguing that the governor lacks the authority to halt the union’s operations.

Reacting on social media, Davido initially mocked the NURTW leader over his public comments, a post that quickly generated widespread reactions online.

The singer later returned to Instagram, where he directly addressed MC Oluomo over allegations of political involvement in Osun State.

Tagging the union leader in an Instagram Story, Davido wrote:

“@kingmcoluomo dem say u Dey game. I doubt lol look ur mirror.”

The post has since attracted mixed reactions across social media, with supporters and critics weighing in on the growing political exchange.

DailyInsightNG gathered that Davido has been actively involved in his uncle Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign after being appointed Youth Campaign Leader in April.

The disagreement between the Osun State Government and the NURTW has become one of the major political issues ahead of the governorship election, with both sides maintaining their positions over the legality of the ban.

As political activities intensify in the state, attention is expected to remain on developments surrounding the dispute and preparations for the forthcoming poll.
