Critics roast Trump’s ‘completely insane’ rant about Nobel Peace Prize on Air Force One

Critics of President Donald Trump roasted him on Wednesday night after video of a press gaggle Trump held on Air Force One was published.

Trump traveled back to the U.S. from his meetings with NATO allies in Ankara, Turkey, where he shocked and horrified some political analysts with the way he treated global leaders. During the trip, Trump spoke to reporters about a wide range of topics, including whether he should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize instead of Venezuelan opposition leader and pro-democracy activist María Corina Machado.

“I would say I should have won that award more than anybody that ever received the Nobel Peace Prize,” Trump said, repeating his quizzical claim that he’s settled “eight wars.”

Machado has previously said she dedicated her award to Trump, although the Nobel Prize committee clarified that her comments don’t represent an official transfer of the award.

Trump critics roasted the president on social media.

“It’s so cool how America is essentially numb to the fact that the president of the United States is completely insane,” author Jason Overstreet wrote to his more than 57,000 followers on X.

“Omg pls stop,” Leslie Marshall, a Democratic strategist, told her more than 97,000 X followers.

“Is he going to call [Gianni] Infantino?” Etan Nechin, a New York correspondent for Haaretz, posted on X, referring to the president of FIFA, who awarded Trump the FIFA Peace Prize last year.

“He should get some psychotropic drugs. The man is ill,” author Larry Mason told his more than 20,000 followers on X.
