Chelsea winger leaves on loan over lack of play-time

Chelsea have announced that its winger, Alejandro Garnacho, has joined fellow Premier League club, Aston Villa, on a season-long deal ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The London club disclosed that Garnacho leaves to join Villa till the summer but would most definitely stay at the club on a permanent transfer deal should certain criteria be met, as the Argentine player is set to pen a four-year-deal with the midlands club.

”Chelsea winger, Alenjadro Garnacho, has completed a season-long loan move to Premier League club, Aston Villa, with an obligation to become permanent next summer should certain criteria be met,” reads a circular by Chelsea after actualizing the deal on Thursday.

”We wish Alejandro the best as he continues his career at Aston Villa,” the statement concludes.

Villa coach, Unai Emery said, ”He is so talented, young and he showed us his wish to help our project. We are really happy.”

The club already sold Morgan Rodgers to Chelsea in a £117 million move, which has increased the total player sales to £200 million following the departures of the Englishman as well as Youri Telemans, Donyell Malen, Enzo Barrenechea and Lewis Dobbin.

Ganarcho has scored just one Premier League for Chelsea, alongside minimal appearances for the club.
