Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has appointed Aliyu Bello and Victor Moses as community engagement aides to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand political outreach.
The appointments saw Bello named Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement, while Moses was appointed Special Assistant on Community Engagement, as part of efforts to deepen stakeholder engagement and reinforce the party’s grassroots structures.
Announcing the appointments in a statement issued on Wednesday, Atiku’s Media Adviser and Spokesperson, Paul Ibe, said that the two appointees were selected based on their extensive experience in public service, political mobilisation, strategic communication and community engagement.
According to the statement, Bello is a seasoned journalist, entrepreneur, international trader and grassroots politician with a distinguished record in leadership, public service and youth mentorship. He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, alongside professional certifications in Leadership and Business Management.
The statement noted that he previously served two terms as the Kaduna State Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he championed youth participation in politics, before serving as the party’s Financial Secretary in the state. He later joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
It added that his background in journalism, entrepreneurship, politics and grassroots engagement positions him to drive youth participation, strengthen community networks and support the party’s mobilisation efforts across the country.
The statement also described Victor Moses as a scholar, public affairs strategist and entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in strategic communication, political mobilisation, behavioural research and grassroots engagement.
Moses holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) since 2021, a role in which he has coordinated stakeholder engagement, public communication and grassroots mobilisation initiatives.
Congratulating the appointees, Atiku expressed confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the party’s community engagement strategy and wished them success in advancing what he described as their shared vision.
