The Nigerian Army has arrested three individuals accused of aiding terrorism in supplying information to suspected bandits who have carried out attacks on residents in Yobe State and nearby environs.
Troops of the FANSAN YAMMA coordinated an intelligence-led operation leading to the arrests of the trio accused of actively working as informants and logistics suppliers for the Lakurawa terrorist group.
It was gathered on Friday that the successful arrest took place around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, when troops from Operation FANSAN YAMMA, in collaboration with personnel from the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service, conducted the raid in Kangiwa Village, Arewa Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Moreover, the suspects have now been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution.
This handover underscores the military’s commitment to collaborating with other security agencies to ensure thorough accountability.
In addition, the arrests highlight the security forces’ relentless focus on dismantling terrorist support networks.

As a military source confirmed, “The suspects are believed to have been serving as informants and logistics suppliers for the Lakurawa terrorist group operating within the area.”
The source added that the operation is part of sustained intelligence-driven efforts to dismantle support networks sustaining terrorist organizations.
