The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe, has unveiled the Renewed Hope Creative and Innovative Hub, a youth-focused initiative aimed at equipping young Nigerians with creative, digital and entrepreneurial skills to advance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Aregbe said the hub was established to provide young people with access to skills acquisition, mentorship, entrepreneurship development and digital innovation, enabling them to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s socio-economic growth.
Announcing the readiness of the initiative yesterday, Aregbe described the hub as a strategic platform designed to nurture the next generation of innovators, creators, entrepreneurs and leaders by transforming talent into sustainable opportunities.
According to him, the project aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and complements the Lagos State Government’s THEMES+ development agenda by promoting youth empowerment, enterprise development and innovation.
“The Renewed Hope Creative and Innovative Hub is built for the young and the vibrant—the dreamers and the doers. It is a platform where talent will be nurtured through skills development, mentorship, entrepreneurship and digital innovation,” he said.
He explained that the hub would focus on developing future-ready talent by providing practical training, fostering collaboration across industries, connecting young party members with leadership and creating pathways to employment and enterprise.
Aregbe noted that the initiative was conceived on the belief that while talent is abundant, opportunities must be deliberately created to enable young people to realise their potential and contribute to national development.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing leadership through the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said continues to prioritise youth inclusion, economic empowerment and national development.
The APC chieftain also praised Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to youth empowerment, describing the governor as a leader whose policies have continued to create opportunities for young people across the state.
He equally acknowledged Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat for his dedication to good governance and youth development, saying his support for initiatives that promote innovation and human capital development remains commendable.
Aregbe said the hub would serve as a centre for innovation, collaboration and enterprise, where young people would be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required to compete in today’s digital economy.
Describing the project as more than a physical facility, he said it represents a long-term commitment to raising a generation of self-reliant youths capable of driving economic growth and national development.
“This is more than a hub; it is a commitment to empower the next generation of APC leaders, innovators and nation-builders. Together, we will build not just careers, but a greater Lagos and a greater Nigeria,” Aregbe said.
He urged young people across Lagos to embrace the opportunities provided by the Renewed Hope Creative and Innovative Hub, expressing confidence that the initiative would help unlock talent, inspire innovation and create lasting economic opportunities for the state’s youth.
