2027: Group backs Akume, APC leaders to oversee Tinubu, Shettima’s reelection bid


A leading grassroots mobilisation platform, Friends of President Tinubu & Shettima 2027 Presidential Elections Mobilisation Project [FOT&S 2027], has announced major recognition of political stalwarts into its National Advisory Council and Zonal Coordination Team ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement on Wednesday, signed by the Convener and Founder of FOT&S 2027 Amb. Bridget Torbua Igbauke, the group said the appointments were made to strengthen its structure, deepen grassroots mobilisation, and bridge the strategic communication gap between government and the governed for the peaceful coexistence and prosperity of the country

Recognised members of National Advisory Council
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, was recognised by the group as the Chairman of the Advisory Council of FOT&S 2027.

Other members are: Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Senate President, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt.Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Chief Nyesom Wike, Hon. Minister of the FCT as National Patron, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, APC National Chairman and Hon. (Dr.) Benjamin Nwoye APC Deputy National Chairman, South.

Others are: Hon. Bukar Dalori APC Deputy National Chairman, North, Sen. Ajibola Basiru, APC National Secretary, Dr. Mary Alile Idele, APC National Woman Leader, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, GCON, Former SGF & Former Senate President, Rt. Hon. Bello Masari, former Governor, Katsina State and former Speaker, House of Reps.

Furthermore, the group recognised Rt. Hon. Patricia Etteh, Former Speaker, House of Representatives, (Dr) Sir. Mike Mbama Okiro, IGP (rtd) as Director of Security, Dr. Danladi Bako, the Kogunan Sokoto as Director of Strategic Communication & Member, Advisory Council and Dr. Ngozi Juliet Olejeme – National Matron & Member, Advisory Council.

Zonal, state coordination team
The group further recognised Zonal Coordinators such as Emeka Wogu (South East), Dr. Silas Okpanachi (North Central), Engr. Mike Adeyanju (South West), Chief O’tega Emerhor (South South), Alhaji Manir Ibrahim (North West), while North East Zonal Coordinator is be announced soon.

Speaking on the recognitions and appointments, Amb. Bridget Torbua Igbauke said the appointees represent experience, integrity, and grassroots reach.

She added the group will focus on Strategic Communication Mobilisation and Social Responsibility as a key mandate to defend the mandate, correct misinformation, and ensure victory in 2027.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is delivering bold and people-centered policies. However, for these policies to succeed, they must be communicated , strategically, and effectively to the last man in the village.

“These appointees represent experience, integrity, and grassroots reach. They are charged to simplify policies, localize impact, counter propaganda, and amplify the successes of the Renewed Hope administration.

“The battle for 2027 will be won with the Renewed Hope Ideology of President Tinubu, GCFR,” she stated.

The group reaffirmed its total commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
