The Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District, Ikeje Asogwa, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as the administration’s transformative reforms and people-oriented policies, urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain united in support of the party’s vision for Nigeria.
The senator made the remarks while attending the APC monthly meetings in Nsukka and Igbo-Eze South Local Government Areas of Enugu State, where he was warmly received by party faithful, stakeholders, youth and women groups. Blueprint reports
Addressing party members, Asogwa said his presence at the meetings underscored his unwavering commitment to the APC and his appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of members who have remained steadfast despite political challenges.
Commends party faithful
The lawmaker praised party leaders and supporters for their resilience, describing them as the backbone of the APC’s growth and unity in Enugu State.
“I am here in demonstration of my unwavering commitment to our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and in appreciation of our dedicated leaders, stakeholders and faithful members for your steadfastness, sacrifices and unwavering commitment to the growth and unity of our party,” he said.
According to him, the commitment and loyalty of party members have continued to strengthen the APC and reinforce public confidence in its vision and programmes.
He urged members to sustain the momentum by remaining united and committed to the ideals of the party.
Backs Tinubu’s reforms
Asogwa also reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu’s administration, saying the Renewed Hope agenda has continued to deliver meaningful reforms aimed at repositioning the country’s economy and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
He noted that the Federal Government’s policies are laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth, institutional reforms and improved service delivery.
The senator said the administration’s focus on economic recovery, infrastructure development and governance reforms demonstrates its commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
He described President Tinubu as a visionary leader whose policies are designed to secure long-term national development.
Commends Governor Mbah
Beyond the Federal Government, the senator equally praised the administration of Enugu State Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing him as a hardworking and pragmatic leader whose developmental strides are transforming the state.
He said both the federal and state governments have demonstrated purposeful leadership through bold reforms and policies that are yielding positive results.
“Through bold reforms, people-oriented policies and purposeful governance, their administrations have recorded remarkable milestones that continue to reposition Enugu State and Nigeria for sustainable growth, economic prosperity and an improved quality of life for all,” he stated.
Calls for party unity
The lawmaker urged APC members to remain focused on strengthening the party ahead of future political engagements, stressing that unity remains the party’s greatest strength.
He called on members to continue supporting leaders who are committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
“As we continue to work together in unity, let us remain steadfast, committed and focused on strengthening our party and supporting leaders who are genuinely delivering the dividends of democracy,” Asogwa said.
He assured party faithful that with collective commitment and cooperation, the APC would continue to grow stronger in Enugu State while contributing to national development.
The senator also expressed confidence that the party would remain a formidable political force capable of advancing the interests of the people.

In separate remarks, the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Hon. Jude Asogwa, and his counterpart in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, commended the senator for attending the monthly meetings despite his legislative responsibilities.
The council chairmen and other party stakeholders described his visit as a demonstration of effective leadership and grassroots engagement.
They assured the senator of their continued loyalty and support, pledging to work with him to strengthen the APC across the senatorial district.
The event also featured colourful displays by the women’s and youth wings of the party, who welcomed the senator with songs and cultural performances in appreciation of his visit.
