Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has said that the federal government should consider a drastic security timeline calling for decisive action against armed groups across the country.
This includes a proposal that security chiefs be given 90 days to eliminate terrorist threats or tender their resignation in what he described as a national emergency moment in Nigeria.
Security debate intensifies
The remarks reflect growing concern over persistent insecurity in parts of the country where communities have faced repeated attacks, kidnappings and disruptions to daily life, prompting renewed debate on military and intelligence response effectiveness and coordination.
“If I was asked to make suggestions, I’ll say quietly to our government move fast and say to our security chiefs ‘get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign’” he said.
