THE former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has expressed support for the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, for the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on the Morning Show of the Arise Television on Wednesday, Senator Omo-Agege assured of his commitment to every presidential candidate that he had supported and that he has always given his 100 per cent support.
He disclosed that he fully supported former President Muhammadu Buhari during his tenure and also did the same for President Bola Tinubu.
According to him, the same can be expected of him now that he has become a member of the NDC.
Senator Omo-Agege explained that the circumstances within the All Progressives Congress, APC, pushed him and his loyalists out of the party.
“I didn’t leave APC, APC left me,” he said.
It will be recalled that the former Deputy President of the Senate, recently joined the NDC after resigning his membership of the APC.
Omo-Agege said in a statement by his media adviser, Sunday Areh, that he would contest for the Delta Central Senatorial seat on the platform of the NDC in the 2027 general elections and support the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
