Police arrests Ogun security guard for defiling 16yr old girl

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested 32-year-old security guard, Abraham Aneka, for alleged defilement, criminal intimidation and attempted robbery of a 16-year-old girl in Abule-Ijoko.

According to the command, the incident was reported in the early hours of Tuesday, 10 June 2026, at the Agbado Division after the suspect was said to have threatened the girl with the firearm on Monday, 9 June 2026.

The police further disclosed that the suspect allegedly accosted the teenager on her way home and forcibly took her to his residence.

Following the report, detectives from the Agbado Division swiftly tracked and arrested Aneka, recovered the firearm, and visited the scene as part of ongoing investigations into the incident.

Preliminary findings indicate the suspect had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor without consent and tried to steal her belongings.

The victim received a medical form and was taken to a hospital for examination and treatment following the alleged attack.

The case was transferred to SCID Eleweran, Abeokuta for discreet investigation while the suspect remains in custody pending prosecution.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni restated zero tolerance for sexual and gender-based violence against minors and pledged diligent prosecution of the suspect.
