Troops of the Nigerian Army have apprehended a notorious criminal suspect popularly known as ‘Sule Yellow’, who gained social media prominence by documenting his unlawful activities on social media.
The suspected criminal was intercepted by military personnel during a tactical operation while he was making his way back to a secluded camp in the forest.
Security sources indicate that the suspect was caught shortly after he allegedly collected a substantial sum of money as ransom from the relatives of an abducted individual.
The suspect had previously drawn heavy public criticism and widespread condemnation across various social media networks.
This outrage escalated after he began using a popular video-sharing application to display massive bundles of cash, which security agencies strongly believe were the proceeds of various kidnap-for-ransom operations.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that ‘Sule Yellow’ had successfully cultivated a significant online audience on TikTok, frequently uploading short video clips where he boldly flaunted large denominations of naira notes obtained from his illicit operations.

However, Nigerian Military and the defense headquarters have not released an official statement regarding the location of his detention or the next steps in his prosecution.
Though Local intelligence indicates that the suspect is currently undergoing profiling to help security forces locate other members of his syndicate operating within the region.
