A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Baba Ndaman, popularly known as Baba Olando, has resigned his membership of the ruling party with immediate effect.
In a resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of the APC in Masaga ‘A’ Ward, Bida Local Government Area of Niger State, Ndaman said the decision followed careful reflection and deep personal conviction.
According to the letter released on Monday, his political beliefs, principles and aspirations no longer align with the current direction of the party, making his continued membership untenable.
“I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), effective immediately,” the letter read.
Ndaman said he joined the APC with a genuine commitment and sincere desire to contribute to the development of his ward, Bida Local Government Area, Niger State and the country at large.
He added that he remained loyal to the party throughout his membership and discharged his responsibilities with dedication and good faith.
Expressing appreciation to the party’s leadership and members, the former APC stalwart thanked them for the opportunity to serve under its platform, as well as for the relationships, experiences and lessons he gained over the years.
He requested that the letter be accepted as his formal notice of withdrawal from the party and asked that his name be removed from the APC membership register, with effect from the date of the resignation. He also sought to be relieved of all responsibilities and obligations associated with his membership.
Copies of the resignation letter were forwarded to the APC chairmen in Bida Local Government Area and Niger State.
