Kidnap Gang Linked to Ex-Minister Adelabu’s Sister Abduction Busted as Police Rescue Victims Alive
The Nigeria Police have successfully rescued the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons following a coordinated security operation.
The victims, identified as Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her children, Peter and Paul, were freed alive after days in captivity.
Authorities said the breakthrough came after intensive intelligence gathering, surveillance efforts and tactical operations aimed at locating the kidnappers and securing the victims’ release.
Police Operation Leads to Rescue
According to security sources, the victims were abducted on Tuesday while Mrs. Adegoke was reportedly taking her children to school.
Investigators launched an immediate operation, tracking the movements of the suspects and applying sustained pressure on the criminal network believed to be responsible for the abduction.
The operation eventually led to a confrontation between security operatives and the suspected kidnappers.
Two Suspects Killed During Gun Battle
Police sources disclosed that two suspected kidnappers were killed during an exchange of gunfire with operatives.
Authorities also recovered two firearms from the suspects during the operation.

Mrs. Adegoke and her twin sons were rescued unharmed and reunited with their family after the operation.
