The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the printing of notification slips for candidates scheduled to participate in the 2026 Mop-Up UTME, while also confirming that no additional examination will be organised after the exercise.
The board made the announcement ahead of the examination scheduled for June 13, 2026, urging all eligible candidates to complete the necessary preparations before the test date.
Candidates Can Now Access Examination Details
According to JAMB, candidates participating in the 2026 Mop-Up UTME can now print their notification slips through the board’s official portal.
The slip contains essential examination information, including the candidate’s examination centre, reporting time, date, and other important instructions needed for a smooth examination process.
The board advised candidates to print the document early and familiarise themselves with their assigned centres to avoid last-minute confusion.
Why JAMB Organised the Mop-Up Examination
JAMB explained that the mop-up exercise was created to accommodate candidates who could not complete the main UTME due to technical challenges or unsuccessful biometric verification during the earlier examination period.
The board said the exercise is intended to ensure that affected candidates are given a fair opportunity to participate in the admission process.
No Additional Examination After June 13
The examination body stressed that the 2026 Mop-Up UTME represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to sit for this year’s examination.
JAMB stated that there are currently no plans to organise another examination after the June 13 exercise.
The board therefore encouraged all qualified candidates to take the opportunity seriously and make adequate preparations ahead of the examination day.
