T£rrorists have k!ll3d the Chief Imam of Kuda-Kuda village in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State and three other residents in a midnight r@id on the community.
Reports online indicate that the @tt@ckers invaded the village in the early hours of Thursday, f@tally targeting the cleric identified as Liman Audu and @bd*cting several residents in the process.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the t£rrorists stormed the community at around 12:58am and operated for close to two hours, firing sporadically, rustling livestock and sending many villagers fleeing in fear.
A resident who spoke anonymously said the sound of gunshots threw the community into panic, prompting families to hastily abandon their homes and move toward safer areas.
According to the source, the @tt@ckers moved from house to house, seizing residents including married women and assaulting those who attempted to resist.
“The three injured victims were shot in the chest and the bullets exited through their backs. As we speak, they have been taken to a hospital in Sokoto,” the resident said.
The d£ceased were identified as Chief Imam Liman Audu, Yahaya Hasanu, Zahara Mu’azu and Ibrahim Dayyabu.
A separate account indicated that the t£rrorists first targeted the Chief Imam’s residence before k!ll!ng three young men who reportedly refused to be taken into the forest with them.
Residents expressed anguish over the repeated @tt@cks on the community, describing the latest incident as the 11th of its kind in Kuda-Kuda village, and called for a stronger security presence in the area.
The @tt@ck further deepens security concerns in the eastern parts of Sokoto State, where communities continue to bear the brunt of t£rrorist and criminal activity.
