Chelsea Decide Against Moves For Nwaneri, Bergvall This Summer

Chelsea are reportedly not planning to make moves for Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall during the current summer transfer window.

The two young talents had been linked with a possible switch to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea prepare for a new era under head coach Xabi Alonso.

Alonso is expected to officially begin his role on July 1 after being appointed following Liam Rosenior’s exit at the end of last season.

Blues yet to complete summer signing

With the transfer window open, Chelsea have been connected with several potential additions as the club looks to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

However, the Blues are yet to complete any major deal and their transfer plans remain unclear.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Chelsea are currently not considering moves for either Nwaneri or Bergvall despite previous speculation.

Nwaneri and Bergvall futures remain uncertain

Nwaneri spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille and remains one of Arsenal’s highly rated young players.

The forward was also involved with England’s squad during their pre-World Cup preparations in the United States.

Meanwhile, Bergvall featured regularly for Tottenham last season, making 33 appearances across all competitions, including 23 Premier League matches.

The Sweden international has attracted interest from clubs in England and across Europe, with reports suggesting uncertainty over his long-term future at Tottenham.

For now, both players appear set to remain away from Chelsea despite transfer rumours linking them with a move to Stamford Bridge.
