The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has assured party members that the opposition group will overcome its current challenges ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kwankwaso said this while calling on supporters to remain calm and committed as the party continues preparations for the next election cycle.
Meeting with NDC leadership
The former Kano State governor made the statement on Sunday after visiting the party’s National Leader, Seriake Dickson, at his residence in Abuja.
According to Kwankwaso, the meeting was part of efforts to strengthen unity within the party and improve its readiness ahead of the 2027 polls.
He said the discussions focused on building resilience and maintaining a common direction among party members.
Party committed to legal process
Kwankwaso stated that the NDC remains committed to democratic values and the rule of law despite the legal issues facing the party.
He expressed confidence that the judicial process would address the challenges, adding that temporary difficulties would not weaken the party’s mission.

The NDC vice-presidential candidate encouraged members, supporters and Nigerians who share the party’s vision to remain hopeful.
