Nasarawa lawmaker disburses N12m to 600 women of Kokona LGA

THE Member representing Kokona East constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Daniel Ogazi, has disbursed N12 million to 600 women in his constituency.
Ogazi made the disbursement on Saturday in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area.
The lawmaker, who recently picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal constituency for the 2027 general elections, said the money was to enable the women to boost their businesses and agricultural activities.
He said that the money was from his entitlements as a legislator, promising to replicate the same gesture for women in Keffi and Karu LGAs respectively.
“What I am doing today is to appreciate your efforts and support for me during the APC primaries for Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal Constituency.
“I want to urge you to use the money to improve on your standard of living and that of your family members,” he said
Ogazi disclosed that he has sunk over 72 boreholes, constructed bridges, culverts, roads, electricity, empowerment among others.
He promised to provide effective representation and more dividends of democracy to the people of Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal constituency if given the mandate in 2027.
The lawmaker urged the people of the state to vote all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
“I want to urge you to vote President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Aliyu Wadada, Nasarawa State APC Governorship candidate and all other candidates of the party during the 2027 general elections.
Ogazi enjoined the people of the area to continue to live in unity and peace irrespective of their affiliations.
Also speaking at the event, Hajiya Hasiya Ahmed, Secretary, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Mr Terry Bado, APC Chairman, Kokona LGA, and Mr Bawa Rabo, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Greater Karu Initiative, commended Ogazi for always having the interest of the people at heart.
They said that the gesture would go a long way in improving the standard of living of the beneficiaries and that of their family members.
Earlier, Mr Manasseh Sambo, Chairman, Ogazi Empowerment Committee disclosed that each woman got N20,000.
He urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the money, and continue to pray and support Ogazi to succeed.
Some of the beneficiaries, Mrs Justina Boka, Mary Bala and Hauwa Bala, appreciated Ogazi for the gesture and prayed God to bless him. (NAN)
