Chelsea face FA charges over fans misconduct

Chelsea Football Club have been charged by English FA over fans misconduct during an Emirates FA Cup match in the ongoing season.

The FA disclosed that fans of the west London club, during the side’s 5-1 third-round win over Chalton Athletic behaved in an inappropriate way by chanting offensive and abusive remarks against the opposition team.

”It’s alleged that around 56th minute of the match, the club failed to ensure that spectators and/or its supporters (and anyone purporting to be its supporters or followers) didn’t behave in an improper, offensive, abusive or insulting way with either an express or implied reference to religion or belief,” the statement by the FA on Wednesday reads.

It added that the Pensioners have until Friday, 29 May, to provide a response to the charge.
