The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed the loss of life of two intending pilgrims in a highway accident.
This was contained in a press release by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, Wednesday.
Alkasim Ibrahim-Walawa and his mom, Hadiza Garba, indigenes of Walawa village in Kabo native authorities space of the state, misplaced their lives in a deadly automobile accident on Rimin Gado – Kano Metropolis Highway.
Dederi stated the board, in a joint condolence message with its Board of Administrators, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident.
“Alkasim Ibrahim-Walawa and his mom, Hadiza Garba, misplaced their lives in a deadly automobile accident on Rimin Gado – Kano Metropolis Highway.
“Alkasim Ibrahim-Walawa, aged 48, is survived by two wives and 7 youngsters. His mom, Hadiza Garba, aged 73, is survived by 5 youngsters.
“Each deceased are indigenes of Walawa Village in Kabo native authorities space.
“Their passing is especially heartbreaking as they had been on a noble journey with the intention of touring to the Holy Land for pilgrimage,” the spokesman stated. (NAN)
