Police parade 146 suspected violent protesters, vandals in Ogun

The Ogun state police command has paraded 146 suspected violent protesters, and vandals for alleged breach of public peace and  assault on a well being facility in Sagamu.

The suspects had been paraded on the Sagamu Divisional Police Headquarters in Sagamu, Tuesday.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, who was flanked by the DPO Sagamu, CSP Fred Ode, his second-in-command, CSP Markus Wantana, and the vice chairman of Sagamu LGA, Isiaka Salami, said that the suspects had been a part of a bunch of economic motorbike riders who unlawfully blocked the Oba Erinwole GRA Highway in Sagamu on April 7, disrupting the motion of harmless residents.

He mentioned through the protest, the suspects attacked a hospital facility in Sagamu and denied some sufferers entry to healthcare.

“The lads who carried out the illegal meeting and protest attacked the well being centre. When you have a protest, what do medical personnel need to do together with your grievances? What does a sick individual within the sick bay need to do together with your protest?”
