The Nigeria Police Power has extradited one Matthew Adebiyi to the UK over alleged involvement in homicide and drug trafficking.
The extradition was facilitated via the INTERPOL Nationwide Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja. The police stated UK authorities requested the extradition in September 2024.
The request adopted Adebiyi’s alleged involvement within the homicide of Joshua Boadu on June 18, 2018.
He was additionally accused of supplying crack cocaine, a Class-A managed drug, between October 2017 and March 2018 within the UK.
The police stated Adebiyi fled to Nigeria after the alleged offences. He was arrested on January 23, 2025 by operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja.
The police stated extradition proceedings had been initiated on the Federal Excessive Courtroom in Lagos because the case was filed underneath go well with quantity FHC/L/CS/416/2025.
