Operatives of the Nationwide Drug Legislation Enforcement Company (NDLEA) have intensified their nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking, intercepting cocaine hid in meals flasks and hashish hidden in snack packs, whereas arresting a number of suspects, together with a Lagos-based dressmaker.
In a press release by its spokesman, Femi Babafemi, the company disclosed that 12 parcels of cocaine weighing 2.8 kilogrammes have been found on the export shed of the Murtala Muhammed Worldwide Airport (MMIA), Lagos. The illicit medication, certain for the UK, have been ingeniously hidden within the false bottoms of meals flasks.
Two cargo brokers—Ama Ufeim and Ogabi Akorede—have been arrested on the level of interception, whereas additional investigations led to the arrest of the alleged sender, freight forwarder Agoro Moninuola.

In the meantime, NDLEA has continued its Battle Towards Drug Abuse (WADA) marketing campaign throughout the nation, conducting sensitisation programmes in colleges, spiritual centres, and communities.
Commending the operatives, NDLEA Chairman, Buba Marwa, praised the company’s steadiness between aggressive enforcement and preventive training, urging officers to maintain the momentum in tackling drug trafficking and abuse nationwide.
