Army Debunks Reported Assault On Bishop Kukah, Sokoto Cathedral

The Nigerian Military has dismissed as false a report alleging an assault on Matthew Kukah and the Sokoto Catholic Cathedral, describing the declare as deceptive and unfounded.

The report, which circulated on Fb, alleged an armed assault on the residence of the Bishop of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese and the cathedral.

In an announcement, the 8 Division of the Nigerian Military and Sector 2 of Operation Fansan Yamma debunked the declare, insisting that no such incident occurred in Sokoto State.

The Performing Deputy Director of Military Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, said that the security and safety of Bishop Kukah and the Sokoto Catholic Cathedral stay intact.
