Iran US war LIVE updates: Israel-Lebanon ceasefire extended by three weeks

Iran-US-Israel War Live News Updates: US seeks unified response from Iran as fragile ceasefire holds, Trump keeps naval blockade until Iran offers proposal, Tehran calls blockade act of war and vows resistance.

Iran-US-Israel War Live News Updates: The United States is pressing for a more cohesive response from Iran as fragile ceasefire dynamics continue to hold. President Donald Trump is seeking what the White House described as a “unified” position from Tehran’s leadership on Washington’s proposals to de-escalate the conflict.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the administration has not imposed a formal deadline on the current ceasefire extension, signalling a wait-and-watch approach as diplomatic channels remain active. However, she reiterated that a key US demand in any negotiated settlement would be Iran agreeing to hand over its stockpile of enriched uranium—an issue likely to remain a major sticking point.

The ceasefire itself remains conditional. Trump confirmed that while the truce has been extended, a US naval blockade on Iranian ports will stay in place until Tehran submits a formal proposal and negotiations reach a definitive outcome.

Tehran has strongly pushed back. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the blockade an “act of war” and a violation of the ceasefire, warning that Iran is prepared to resist what it views as coercive tactics.
