Bauchi commissioner Zaki resigns 


The Bauchi state Commissioner for Water Assets, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki, has resigned his appointment as commissioner and member of the state government council.

In a resignation letter addressed to the Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, Zaki attributed his resignation to political ambition forward of the 2027 normal elections.

He stated Wednesday that the letter of resignation, which took impact from March 31, 2026, will allow him to contest the Senate seat for Bauchi Central senatorial district in step with the rules of the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC).

“I want to tender my resignation as Commissioner, Ministry of Water Assets, efficient March 31, 2026.

“This choice is to allow me to contest for the Senate in Bauchi Central zone, as per INEC pointers,” he acknowledged.

He additionally expressed appreciation to the governor for the chance to serve in his cupboard and for the help prolonged to him throughout his tenure.
