Kaduna Stakeholders Endorse HiiL Tips as Roadmap to Lasting Peace

Stakeholders throughout Kaduna State have endorsed newly launched tips by the Hague Institute for Innovation of Legislation (HiiL), describing them as a roadmap to lasting peace in communities affected by farmer-herder conflicts.

The rules, unveiled in Kaduna beneath the Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (SPRING) programme funded by the UK Overseas, Commonwealth and Growth Workplace (FCDO), are designed to stop and resolve land disputes via mediation and community-based approaches reasonably than extended litigation.

HiiL Operations Officer, Mariam Abba, stated the framework was developed after in depth consultations with stakeholders throughout affected states.
