The Delta State Police Command has dismissed as false stories alleging {that a} suspect died in custody at Ekpan Police Station, describing the publication as deceptive and unfounded.
In a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Vibrant Edafe, the Command mentioned the allegation was an try and undermine ongoing efforts to fight crime within the state.
The police harassed that no suspect died in custody in Ekpan or anyplace in Delta State, opposite to the claims.
In response to the assertion, the operation referenced within the report was a coordinated raid on legal hideouts carried out on March 25 and 26, 2026.
The train, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in control of Operations, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, focused legal actions in Ughelli and Warri.
The Command disclosed that the operation led to the arrest of over 270 suspects, together with suspected drug traffickers and wished cultists, whereas massive portions of illicit medicine had been recovered.
