Shettima Departs For Addis Ababa To Characterize Tinubu At 2026 AU Summit

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday departed Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to characterize President Bola Tinubu on the 2026 African Union (AU) Summit.

In keeping with a press release issued by the Media Assistant to the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, the Summit is themed “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Secure Sanitation Programs to Obtain the Objectives of Agenda 2063.”

The summit will concentrate on strengthening continental commitments to sustainable water administration, improved sanitation methods, and advancing the broader improvement targets outlined within the AU’s Agenda 2063 framework.

Whereas in Addis Ababa, Shettima will take part within the thirty ninth Bizarre Session of the Meeting of AU Heads of State and Authorities, in addition to the thirtieth Normal Meeting, scheduled for February 14 and 15, 2026, respectively.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Vice President is predicted to attend high-level aspect occasions and maintain bilateral conferences with African political and enterprise leaders.
