PHOTO: APC Postpones Adamawa Congresses; New Date But to Be Introduced
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its State, Native Authorities, and Ward congresses in Adamawa State.
In a letter dated February 17, 2026, addressed to the Chairman of the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC), the get together communicated the choice.
The letter, signed by APC’s Nationwide Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Nationwide Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, acknowledged {that a} new date for the congresses can be introduced in the end.
“We write to tell you that the State, Native Authorities, and Ward Congresses for Adamawa State have been postponed. A brand new date will probably be communicated in the end. Thanks, and please settle for the assurances of our highest regards,” the letter learn.
In accordance with sources, the postponement is meant to offer Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri time to finalise a deliberate defection from the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) to the APC forward of the congresses.
