LG autonomy: Ogun NULGE threatens industrial motion, points 7-day ultimatum 

The Ogun state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Native Authorities Workers (NULGE) has once more issued a 7-day ultimatum to the state authorities over its incapability to satisfy the union’s calls for.

In a communiqué issued on the finish of its state Government Council (SEC) assembly, Tuesday, the president, Adefesobi Adebayo, said that it’s disheartening that the state authorities has did not take heed to the yearnings of the native authorities staff.

“It’s disheartening and discouraging that the Ogun state authorities has refused to take heed to our yearnings and proceed to ignore the calls for of the native authorities staff in Ogun state. This has dampened the belief and morale of staff on the third tier of presidency.

“Arising from the above, Nigeria Union of Native Authorities Workers, representing staff within the 20 native governments met on the State Government Council assembly right this moment and resolved to subject one other 7- day ultimatum to authorities in an effort to handle our calls for, ranging from Wednesday 18th February, 2026 to Thursday twenty sixth February, 2026.

“The union won’t hesitate to embark on industrial motion if our calls for aren’t met after the deadline of this new ultimatum,” the communiqué reads.
