Diri urges Bayelsans to take part in sixth SDD marathon


Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has flagged off actions for the sixth version of the SDD Marathon, urging residents of the state to actively participate within the race to advertise health and wholesome residing.

The 10km (elite runners) and 5km (leisure runners) race will maintain on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Governor Diri made the decision on Thursday through the weekly Prosperity Stroll on the Samson Siasia Sports Advanced after he was offered the official marathon jersey by one of many organisers, Odonkumo Igbeita, on behalf of the organising committee.
