President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday removed Mele Kyari as Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and appointed Bashir Bayo Ojulari as his successor, effective April 2, 2025.
Additionally, the President dissolved the company’s board, including Chairman Pius Akinyelure, and restructured it with 11 new members.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in the early hours of Wednesday.
