Notable Russian lawmakers have criticized the recent European summit held in London, claiming it produced no substantial plan to resolve the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Konstantin Kosachev, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Russia’s upper house of parliament, expressed on the Telegram messaging app that the only hope for Ukraine lies in improved Russian-US relations. He dismissed the London meeting as a desperate attempt to pass off as a success the failure of a decade-long policy of inciting Ukraine against Russia, led by Great Britain and, until recently, the United States.
