Remita not scrapped as CBN-approved payment gateway – OAGF

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, OAGF, has clarified that the Federal Government has not discontinued the use of Remita as the Central Bank of Nigeria-approved payment gateway.


In a statement issued in Abuja, the OAGF explained that rather than being phased out, Remita will be integrated into the Treasury Management and Revenue Assurance System, TMRAS, alongside other licensed Payment Solution Service Providers, PSSPs.


This move, the office noted, is aimed at enhancing the liberalization of government revenue collection and remittance processes.
