In a statement released today, Chief Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri Kingdom, broke his silence on the matter that has begun to capture national attention. The traditional leader revealed he had initially attempted to resolve the issue privately, personally meeting with Senate President Akpabio, whom he described as a “family friend,” to discuss the concerning allegations.


“I personally met with the Senate President and respectfully urged him to extend the courtesy and respect my wife deserves, while also honoring the friendship between us,” Chief Uduaghan stated. “We reached an understanding and agreed to resolve the issue amicably.”


Despite this intervention, the Chief noted that his wife “continues to express concerns about the harassment she has endured from the Senate President.”
