Disease resistance treatment fuels $50m investment

Research into developing new antimicrobial resistance treatment in Nigeria and other low/middle-income countries has fuelled a $50 million investment.


The Gates Foundation, Novo Nordisk Foundation, and Wellcome on Wednesday announced the launch of a $50 million investment that will focus on combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR).


The AMR is caused by a specific range of bacteria among the leading contributors to deaths.
