Bauchi govt moves to tackle malnutrition from health care facilities

The Bauchi State Government through the Primary Health Care Development Board and CASCADE (Care Nigeria) have created ‘nutrition corner’ at primary health centres in the state to teach pregnant and nursing mothers how to combine recipes to make nutritious meals.


The State, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has 54,000 children battling with malnutrition, saying further that two in ten children in Bauchi are malnourished.
