Former MFM Minister Alleges Hypnotism and Sexual Abuse by Church Leader Dr D.K Olukoya

In an exclusive interview with SaharaReporters, Funke Ashekun, a former minister at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), revealed disturbing allegations against the church’s General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya. After nearly two decades of service within the church, Ashekun shared her experiences of what she claims were manipulative and exploitative actions by Olukoya, including an alleged hypnotic encounter during a counseling session that left her shaken and disturbed.


Ashekun, who was heavily involved in the church’s outreach and ministerial work, recounted an unsettling moment when she visited Olukoya’s office to submit a report about a fellowship program. What should have been a routine meeting turned into an experience that, in her words, felt almost hypnotic. According to Ashekun, Olukoya abruptly pulled her close, placed his forehead against hers, and instructed her to “look straight into my eyes.” Ashekun described the feeling as deeply uncomfortable, though at the time, she did not recognize the gravity of the situation.
