In his first public remarks as Intel’s new CEO, Lip-Bu Tan on Monday unveiled his vision for a more agile and innovative version of the storied American chipmaker.
Addressing the company’s “Vision” event in Las Vegas, Tan emphasized a hands-on approach, pledging to work closely with engineers to develop new products driven by customer feedback.
Tan, who assumed leadership of Intel earlier this month, takes the helm at a pivotal moment for the company. Once dominant in both personal computers and data center servers, Intel has in recent years ceded ground to rivals such as Nvidia.
