Japanese company reaffirms commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth

 ​‌‌‍‌‍‍⁠⁠‍​​⁠‌‍​JAPAN Tobacco International (JTI) Nigeria, a member of Japan Tobacco International, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s economic growth through its business activities.

JTI Nigeria’s General Manager, Mr Abdallah Simba, made the commitment in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday.

Simba said JTI Nigeria had remained committed for more than 18 years to conducting its business responsibly, supporting its employees and contributing meaningfully to the country and its stakeholders.

”This comes as the company, with 18 years of operations in Nigeria, advances a diverse and inclusive workplace built on respect, equal opportunity, and employee development.

”As the nation celebrates its 66th independence and continues to grow across different spheres of economic activities, we remain committed to its economic growth,”he said.

Simba said that JTI remained focused on building on the progress achieved, strengthening its contribution to the economy, and creating sustainable value for its employees, partners, and other stakeholders.

He said that the company would also reflect on the Nigeria’s journey shaped by resilience, ambition, and the enduring aspirations of her people.

Simba said that JTI is part of a leading global tobacco and vaping company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, operating in more than 130 countries and employing approximately 47,000 people worldwide.(NAN)
