Nigerian comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has won the Best Stand-Up Comedian award at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
The comedian announced the achievement on her Instagram page on Sunday, celebrating her victory after the awards ceremony held in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.
“We won #afrimma Best Stand-up Comedian 2026,” she wrote.
Real Warri Pikin emerged as the winner ahead of fellow Nigerian comedians Basketmouth, Bovi and Godfrey, as well as Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi, South African comedian Trevor Noah, Ugandan comedian Patrick “Salvado” Idringi and Kenyan comedian Ty Ngachira.
The 2026 edition of AFRIMMA was held on September 12 at Annette Strauss Square, within the AT&T Performing Arts Centre area in Dallas, Texas.
The award adds to Real Warri Pikin’s growing recognition in the African entertainment industry, following her rise as one of Nigeria’s prominent stand-up comedians and entertainers.
